Young musician Shane Kim Lumanog, stepped into the gospel spotlight after showcasing her writing talent on A Song of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival at the third September weekly eliminations.
Her song, “Beside Your Heart”, is a guitar-driven track with soothing melodies and sentimental lyrics. Quiet but emotional, the song talks about feeling lost in life and finding purpose in God’s words.
Award-winning solo artist, Zsaris, interpreted the song and delivered an emotionally-charged rendition. Moved by the music, the singer revealed that the message of the song resonated with her.
The 27-year-old composer came from a musical family. Alongside their family business of acoustic guitars, she grew up singing while playing the guitar to his father’s playlist, making them her greatest musical influences in songwriting.
Her music draws from her life-long passion and childhood influences. At the age of 10, she began writing songs. With her ASOP win, she hopes to finally make her way to the musical world.
