Song Story

Blindness is not a hindrance from creating songs for the Creator, this is what Gulliver Enverga proved when his composition, “Tapat Mong Pangako” was performed on ASOP stage.

Gulliver has always been musically-inclined.  He is a member of Long Time No See band, the first visually-impaired rock band in the Philippines.  Having been a songwriter for eight years, he never wrote worship songs until he found ASOP on television. The competition inspired him to write his first praise composition, Tapat Mong Pangako.

His personal experience shaped the piece.  Remembering all the difficulties of his visual impairment moved him to make a notable composition that sends an inspiring message:  Trust in God’s promises despite hardships in life.

When asked how he started crafting the song, he shared how he personally wrote the song by using screen reader in his gadgets, and then the words flowed to perfectly fit into the melody he’s singing in his mind.

Judges Jackie Lou Blanco, Boy Mondragon and Doc Mon del Rosario commended Gulliver for a mesmerizing song made of proficient lyrics construction with an easy listening melody.

It is a priceless reward for Gulliver to hear people sing his song and be encouraged by the message.
