Song Story
Using a favorite Bible verse, Glenn Bawa and Ronald Calpis came up with an invigorating song of praise about staying faithful amid trying moments in life.
“God Will Always Make A Way” is a cleverly-written song, lauded by judges for its straightforward story told through a lively reggae beat that brings new color to contemporary praise songs. Bawa and Calpis’ fourth composition, beyond question, is an endlessly-playable number.
Unlike their earlier ASOP entries, Glenn followed Doc Mon’s advice in crafting a good piece: he wrote first the lyrics; focused on making a strong chorus with a good recall and engaging a clever storytelling. Afterwards, Ronald paired the words with reggae melody to highlight the message of their composition.
It was a successful strategy that made their fourth composition stood out to the judges.
The song is memorable for Ronald and Glenn because after several attempts in the competition they eventually made it to Finals Night. For Glenn, this is a special song because his seven-year-old daughter sang his own composition for the very first time which brings a wonderful feeling as a father.
Meanwhile, Ronald expresses his heartfelt gratitude to all the judges who took part in shaping and inspiring amateur composers like him to crafting more songs of praise.
