“An unexpected win.”
This is how winning composer Marvin Afuang described his success after bagging the Song of the Week title in February second weekly elimination with his original composition entitled “Noon, Ngayon at Bukas”.
The song trumped two songs entries namely Allan Valdez’s “Dios Ang Kasama” performed by Wishcovery Wishful JM Bales, and Bryan Pangarotan’s “My Only Desire” interpreted by singing hopeful Daniel Briones.
Meanwhile, interpreter Wishcovery Wishful Vien King said that he felt honored to perform the song in the praise song competition.
With its meaningful lyrics, the inspiring hymn is about God’s unchanging love in an ever-changing world. When asked about why he has written the song, the composer said: “I really want to express my thanks to the Lord because I believe that praising God is a way to please him.”
