In its four years on air, this is the first time A Song of Praise o ASOP Music Festival featured an entry from the disco genre.

Adrian Jed Jaranilla’s fast-paced, dance music entry “Tanging Ikaw, Hesus,” was a hit with the judges namely hitmaker Trina Belamide, singer director Jeffrey Hidalgo and Doktor Musiko Mon del Rosario.

According to Judge Trina Belamide, “As a whole, I like it. Nakaka-indak, danceable.  It has a strong hook para sa akin.”

For Jeffrey Hidalgo, “Maganda yung flow nya, nakakaindak and I’m a fan of unusual kinds of songs.”

Doktor Musiko Mon del Rosario has one objection to the song, “Itong kantang ‘to ang ayaw ko. Nahihirapan akong maghanap ng mali.”

Penelope Matanguihan of The Voice PH was tailored fit to perform “Tanging Ikaw, Hesus” and gave it its rightful groove.

Jed bested  “Tanggulan” by Rommel Amolo and performed by band vocalist Mark Cordovales and “Keep the Faith” of Hector Roy Sabarita performed by Mikhaela Puzon of the  Six Bomb Group.
